General Description
:
The host family brawand has been attentively managing the hotel in the 4th generation. The family personally takes care of every one guest practically 24 hours a day. The mild ambience is evident all around the hotel, which was built using lots of wood. Relax at the sauna, the steambath and the jacuzzi. As a guest of this hotel, you enjoy free entrance to the grindelwald sports centre (with indoor swimming pool and ice-rink). Its first-rate cuisine and its ideal position, slightly above the village with a fantastic view of the jungfrau mountain group and just next door to the ski slopes, will make your holidays in grindelwald unforgettable.

Situated on a tranquil sunny slope above the village church, wit a marvellous view of the world-famous mountains and glaciers surrounding the hotel. Close to the pfingstegg and first chair-lifts, as well as the ski school and paragliding place.

This family run hotel may not be the maximum centremost in grindelwald, but for the lover of the alpine countryside this is an advantage. The surroundings is very affable and the quality of the hotel rooms and public areas one of the highest in the area. This hotel comes highly recommended for groups and individuals. Pl 09/07 though largely a ultramodern building, the hotel is built in traditional chalet style with a wooden facade and radiant flower boxes. The hotel is located at the top end of grindelwald about 15 mins walk from the centre of the village and the railway station. Its location affords particularly theatrical views of the eiger.

Guest rooms The rooms vary a lot in size from tiny to large. They are decorated in traditional swiss rustic style and are in very good condition due to an excellent maintenance programme. The bathrooms, which are simple, clean and contemporary in style are also in very good condition. The hotel is comprised of 1 main building and several apartment buildings all within 2 minutes walking distance.
